I am running for Oro Valley Town Council to make sure you have a voice in the future of our special community. With your vote, I will work to protect the safety, beauty and vital resources of our town.
My Priorities
- Public safety and supporting our law enforcement and first responders
- Managed, responsible growth that does not jeopardize our water supply or scenic views
- Supporting Parks and Recreation for families and seniors
- Protecting our fiscal health to ensure we have no property tax
Service in the Community
- Led efforts to conserve the former Vistoso Golf Course—now Vistoso Trails Nature Preserve—by engaging The Conservation Fund to work with the Town and the community
- Advocated for improvements to the Oro Valley Municipal Pool, culminating in the feasibility study that transformed it into the world-class Oro Valley Aquatic Center
- Supported the build-out of Naranja Park
My Background and Experience
- I am a 20-year town resident, and a married mother of twin daughters raised in Oro Valley
- BA in English from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland (now Notre Dame of Maryland University)
- 8 years of experience in the insurance industry
- 20 years in the field of technical writing for Random House, IBM and NASA
- 5 years as president of a nonprofit researching the origins of developmental disorders
